Lisa and I took a two hour road trip to Richmond today, where we met Ricky for lunch and shopping. After almost 4 hours of traffic, we arrived and enjoyed a surprisingly Panera-esque meal at the Baker's Crust. I had the meatloaf sandwich, which was amazing (I know it doesn't sound amazing, but it was), and the mushroom and brie soup. We made an unsuccessful stop in J. Crew, where they apparently don't carry most of the catalogue staples...like the everyday chinos. Yes, I thought it was ridiculous also. And then after an equally unsuccessful attempt at getting three combined walk-in hair appointments at a salon, we gave up on the mall and headed to Target for some back to school shopping.
So that was my day. The drive home with Lisa took much longer than two hours again, but we still had a great time. I did hear some more Ginsu-gossip recently that is quite intriguing! Apparently, he is afraid of the new wooden-floored patio, and will not go onto it unless there is no one else left inside with whom to sit. More to follow as the the story develops!
