Virginia at this moment...

Well since this is the first post, I guess I should start from the beginning. Just kidding, that would be terrible. Right now I am inspired by long hours of alone time with a computer during the evening hours. I am working evenings, and since no one else works now (not even on the west coast!), I find myself bored to blogs. I read T.'s blog and found out about her most recent break-up. I read Gideon's blog and discovered that we have had some similar experiences regarding living alone, being tired, and finding solace with God. I read some other blogs, too, but I just can't remember the girls' code names, so I'll refrain from airing their dirty laundry.

"What is going on in my life right now?" you ask. Well, I'll tell you!

Field hockey starts up two fridays from now, Sex and the City 2 comes out this Friday, my boyfriend (whose blog name I have not yet chosen) visits for a week starting June 1, and white-water tubing on some icy Virginia river will take place on the upcoming Memorial day weekend. I can't wait! I recently got Netflix, so I have a near endless supply of new chick flicks to watch. And my apartment building just renovated the gym, and I now have what is called a Treadwall, which is a climbing aparatus that moves with your weight as you climb. Being a rather small person, I had to crank up the speed significantly for it to notice me climbing, but I really enjoy it. I prefer to use the ladder rungs, though, instead of the climbing hand-holds. My fingers felt tired just looking at the little hand-hold globs...and you never know about germs! This is not a piece of equipment that would be easily cleaned.

Earlier today I got to chat with the BFF, who shall henceforth be called "Dolores", as well as with Gideon & T., which was fabulous. We heard that a girl in our class was fired, and discussed it along with all the other class oopses. I, realizing that she had been fired from my dream job, immediately tried to sneak my way in. Unfortunately, it looks like I was beat to the punch by another friend...which leads me to question when this firing took place...I must have been a bit out of the loop.

So that is the current state of affairs in my life. Things are going well right now. I think people sometimes write blogs about the wild goings on in their lives, or the saddest moments...but unfortunately, I wanted to start a blog on a day when everything was just pretty great.

And now I shall work on naming the boyfriend for blog purposes...I was thinking manatee, but I'm just not sure...that is such a fat name, and he is in really good shape. He does love them, though...I'll let you know what I decide.
