The second field hockey game was cancelled as well...so we haven't started playing yet, and I've been waiting for weeks! I've even started dreaming about playing field hockey, which means it's been too long. I'm still Admiral's Aide, and so far, it is boring. Maybe by next week I'll be the Admiral's best friend and I'll have my own treo for emergencies. :) Maybe not.
I can't WAIT until I get home today. "It's Complicated" should be sitting in my mailbox, and I will watch that tonight instead of playing my hockey game with the DC Dragons. I haven't really said much about the Dragons yet. We are a team made up of adult men and women and high schoolers (mostly boys), and led by a great field hockey player named Tee. I have really enjoyed playing co-ed hockey, and it's surprising how differently men seem to play than women. I feel like men tend to wait for mistakes whereas women tend to jab their sticks and cause mistakes more often. I try not to make mistakes, so I find it easier to get past a male defensive player than a female player. Who knew? It's much harder to stop a male player, though, because they're just faster in everything from running to stick skills and dodges.
oooo, I just got some work for the Admiral! Yaaay! ...and now I'm done. That took about two seconds.
True boredom is setting in. And just in time for lunch! Alright, I'm going to go make some unnecessary phonecalls.
